Cradle Mountain - Art

Cradle Mountain is located in the central highlands of Tasmania, Australia. Named by Joseph Fossey in 1826, as it looked like a gold mining cradle. Towering to 1,459 metres. This national park consists of several mountains and lakes, including Dove Lake and Crater Lake. People come from around the world to explore and walk/hike the multiple tracks. From one hour to several days hike to Lake St Clair. An 8 hour return journey to the summit - rock climbing towards the end! Not for the faint hearted, yet the views from the summit are spectacular! Being a mountain range, the weather can change rapidly, without notice, so come prepared for all conditions.
