Description
Anna Creek Station Cattle - Outback Australia
Situated in the Outback of South Australia, Anna Creek Station is the largest working cattle station in the world. A little shy of 24,000 square kms, it is larger than Ireland or Israel!
Depending on the year, it can run 10,000 - 17,000 head of cattle with about 150 full time staff. Mustering over this distance would be a sight to witness.
I've had a long desire to visit and stand on this station for some obscure reason, maybe the fascination being the largest cattle station in the world? So now I can happily tick off this experience on my long list of to do's in life.
Anna Creek Station is also home to the Painted Hills and the only way to reach them is by aircraft, then you can walk around the area in wonder.
