Description
Australia Rocks Series by Lexa Harpell.
A close up of the gorgeous colours and textures of the beach rocks at Trial Harbour, Tasmania.
The beach is strewn with fascinating deep coloured rocks only a violent nature can produce.
Trial Harbour is a small anchorage on Tasmania's west coastline - a part of vast Ocean Beach on the Indian Ocean.
Named in 1881 after the cutter Trial, it began as an anchorage for the mining community of Queenstown and Zeehan. It was short lived as a harbour as it was very exposed to the high prevailing winds of the Roaring Forties and it rough weather. Making it treacherous for all ships.
It is now a small community of families who prefer living in this somewhat isolated area with no power lines or tunneled water.
