Desolate Road to Somewhere - Central Australia
A desolate highway to ' Somewhere '. Somewhere between Alice Springs and Uluru! Driving along the highway one late afternoon the barren, rocky landscape was ablaze in those warm burnt orange and yellows and light with a rich deep blue sky.
Mesmerised.....I had to pull over to stand on this land and absorb its essence - this is iconic scenery of The Red Centre and I got to witness and experience it!!
The Australian Red Centre is an iconic sight and name world wide. Due to the vivid red soil covering the arid landscape which comes from the oxidized iron in the soil and rocks.
Home to the oldest living culture in the world and the most recognisable single monolith - Uluru. Yet there is much more to explore and be amazed!
Covering the lower part of the Northern Territory which lies in the centre of Australia. It is also the heart of 'The Outback'.
Somewhere in Central Australia, Northern Territory, Australia.
