Description
The Netherlands are renown for the intricate hand made white lace caps.
They are part of their national costume with upturned 'wings' and sometimes high peaks.
The Dutch used a stronger thread of flax as opposed to cottons, many young women learnt this trade over the centuries. Their lace became some of the finest, along with the Flemish in the lands.
*These caps are displayed in a museum in the Netherlands.
