Description
Florence Falls from above. The cascading rock pools above the falls are popular to sit and relax in. Whilst the large pool at the bottom of the falls attract those who want to swim or sit under the falling water.
Litchfield National Park covers around 1,500 km2 - is a relatively small, compact national park in comparison to its neighbour, Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory, Australia.
Known for it beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes - which you can swim in during the winter months - after the park rangers have ensured there are no more cocodiles in the water. in say so, it can never be 100% accurate. I make sure I can see the bottom!
The waterfalls are Wangi Falls, Florence Falls, Tolmer Falls, Tjaetaba Falls, Cascade Falls and Surprise Creek Falls. Swimming is a must in Buley Rockhole which cascades over rock formations creating many small rock pools to dip in.
There are many beautiful hiking tracks, 4WD tracks to the Lost City and more.
