You never know who will turn up in the small pubs to play music in County Donegal.
From locals to people travelling through to the county's highly acclaimed, they all play together for the love of the music, rather than the patrons. It is a way of life.
Their instruments are never far away, they carry them in their cars, ready for a session.
The music usually begins quite late at night and flows through to the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes you walk out and the sun has already risen for the day.
This was one of those rare moments to see these three acclaimed musicians together! The pub in the small town of Carrick was packed and a little difficult to 'slide in' to a position to get this shot.
