It's hard to impress an Australian as far as beaches are concerned, We have over 11,000 scattered along our vast coastlines. So when someone in Ireland told me they would take me to a beach that would take my breath away - obviously I was a little skeptical!
Yet Maghera Beach in County Donegal did just that! Quite a different vista than the tropical beaches everyone loves.
I fell in love with the raw, wildness of Maghera, the sand dunes, vast tidal beach, fascinating rock formations that look pre historic, looming grey clouds and the PEACE it exudes!
