Early Australia tapped into the abundant variety of minerals which its earth held.
Broken Hill in Outback western NSW, Australia is where remnants of The Old Junction Mine sits today.
The mine was first pegged around the late 1880’s which included the Browne Shaft – known as ‘The Line of Lode’ – which unearthed the world’s largest l deposits of silver, zinc and lead.
This seam produced a staggering 300 million tons of ore.
