Description
Retired Relics from Rural Australia Images by Lexa Harpell.
Old and used crucible cups from Zeehan's mining era on Tasmania's west coast.
They were made of clay, being able to withstand extreme high temperatures - as a 'melting pot' to assay gold, silver, etc. in the mining industry.
The markings of a working life. I'm fascinated with history and its relics, they evoke stories of a time passed, their life, their work. There is an unspeakable attachment and fascination to our past.
