Description
Sea Stacks - County Donegal Coastline by Lexa Harpell.
Hiking along the remote coastlines of County Donegal on the west coast of Ireland provides endless breathtaking vistas.
Thousands of sea stacks that dot the rugged coastline.
A purple haze spread across the ocean and landscape as the sun was setting.
These are rock formations that sit in the North Atlantic Ocean seemingly alone worn by the high winds and at times ferocious waves.
It took me over two months to wait for clear weather and someone who would take me to an extemely remote old farm in Glenlough.
I was told you had to have clear weather as there were no tracks and you could easily walk off the 500-1000 vertical cliffs.
Short grasses grow on the tops of the sea stacks in the smallest of crevices.
*Some brave souls have created a sport climbing the sea stacks!!
I'll just look from the cliffs.
