My name is Lexa, my birthplace is Bondi, Australia...my home is where I am.
Loving diversity in my life and am mostly 'on the road', so my images are quite varied, capturing those precious 'Moments in Time' of places and subjects from my surrounds on my travels. These moments will belong to history in time.
Always looking for that magic moment - the ones that take your breath away, evokes an emotion, tells a story, puts a golf ball in your throat.
Many images have been highly featured and have displayed in themed exhibitions.
Shooting what captures my soul in that moment, regardless of the weather and rarely revist the scene hoping for better light etc., To me that first instant magic would be lost.
Travelling light, I prefer to keep images as natural as possible, Some may need a small amount of lightening, contrast or cropping at times. Although some have been edited in HDR for a more dramatic effect on the subject.
Currently I'm travelling around Australia working on another book as well as capturing our amazing diverse country's beauty. My books are non fiction, with a human interest.
A recent project took me to 34 towns in 4 countries to 'Meet our Ancestors'. A journey to walk in the steps of our ancestors after our intense research and recordings. By knowing your past, you get to know yourself.
Consider one or more images to hang in your home or office - or home décor.
Enjoy the images as much as I loved capturing them! Cheers Lexa.
