Sailing on a cold, wet, Sunday afternoon on the Derwent River, Hobart, Tasmania.
Tasmanian's love sailing, and in some of the most difficult conditions as their island state lies just above the Antarctica. There is very little land mass to stop The Roaring Forties winds boom across the largest stretch of water in the world.
Being home for the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, considered the most difficult yacht race in the world! 630 nautical miles across Bass Strait separating mainland Australia to Tasmania.
Unpredictable conditions has caused fatalities some years. Yet the race continues to grow each year.
Attracting some of the best maxi yachts from around the globe to enter this prestigious race.
