Description
Gum Trees in the Flinders BW by Lexa Harpell.
There are around 2,400 types of gum trees in Australia. River red gums (amongst others) grow in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. They live through severe fires, floods and droughts. Their unruly shapes and forms are fascinating, bending to the weather and conditions.
These majestic ranges are full of intrigue, stunning flowing forms and vibrant colours.
The most popular part of these ranges is Wilpena Pound, which I made as a base to explore and photograph over many hiking trails and short drives.
