Forgotten Silos and Corrugated Iron Building in rural Merriwa by Lexa Harpell.
Merriwa is a small country town in the Upper Hunter Region of New South Wales.
Historically know for its Merino sheep grazing and wheat belt. Silos were built next to the train stations to carry the wheat to the cities. Other modes of transport have taken over that role and now it is forgotten.
Each year they hold The Festival of the Fleeces to promote the history of the Merino sheep and the best of agriculture that the surrounds has to offer.
