Australia's Outback provides rather dramatic sunsets.
One of the main reasons is the vast flat landscape where very little sits on the horizon, giving you an uninterrupted view of the whole sky - sometimes a full 360-degree uninterrupted view.
Another reason is the absence of light pollution from a city or town where bright lights dilute the depth of the sky.
Camping on the outskirts of a small mining town of Coober Pedy in South Australia, I had a full 360-degree view with only a few small hills in the distance - and it was glorious.
