Glenlough in Country Donegal is one of the remotest corners in Ireland - a good days hike from Glencolmcille.
Glenlough is the largest raised shingle storm beach in Ireland, with steep, dramatic 1,000ft cliffs raising from the ocean.
USA artist Rockwell Kent spent a summer here in an old run down stone farm to paint the majestic scenery of the wild Atlantic Coast line.
One of Kent's painting is of a young lady laying on the grass in front of this majestic rock formation in 1929 - a young lady he reportedly fell in love with during his stay in Ireland.
Almost ten years later, poet Dylan Thomas rented the same farm house to 'dry out'. the nearest pub was a 10 mile walk over some of the most remote and wildest landscape. He almost went mad with the remoteness and solitude, often screaming at the mountains.
