The River Glen begins in the mountains above Adara and divides the parishes of Kilcar and Glencolmcille in Country Donegal. It continues to flow to Ti Linn (Teelinn), a fishing port on the west coast and eventually the Atlantic Ocean.
This river is well known for its waterfalls and salmon fishing where the river rages down the rocks and local fishermen risk their life standing on the rocks in the middle of the river at one of its steepest parts.
By the time it reaches Ti Linn, the water is flowing gently in the wide estuary at the foot of Slieve League (Sliabh a Liag), the highest sea cliffs in Ireland and possibly Europe.
