Description
Corrugated Iron Sculpture - Outback Australia by Lexa Harpell.
Driving through a small town in Outback Australia, an artist created a sculpture out of rusted corrugated iron of working two horses and kangaroos in the middle of this small town.
Corrugated iron is an iconic buliding material favoured by our early settlers as it was light and easy to transport from the cities which was originally shipped out from England.
The metal held the oppressive heat during summer and cold during winters. However, like many outback areas, strong straight trees just didn't grow to be available as a uilding material. Back then, you made do with what you could get your hands on for building.
