Description
Chasing the Milky Way - Eyre Peninsular by Lexa Harpell.
The chase was on as time was running out with summer looming when the Milky Way will no longer be brilliantly visible in the southern hemisphere.
It's November and it's sitting very low in the sky and for less than an hour.
Weeks of rain, overcast and cloud-filled skies losing valuable time before I would have to wait until early next year for the Milky Way season begins again.
Finding a deep dark sky, a foreground, compass direction and knowing the time and direction it will appear during each month. There is not much wiggle room at this time of the year -everything has to come together at the same time - and it wasn't looking great.
But I did manage to capture my last until next year here on the Eyre Peninsular in South Australia.
