Gum trees and their leaves are an iconic sight on the Australian landscape. Several varieties provide food for our koalas, their flowers provide a wide variety of flavours for honey collected by our bees. The leaves are used in lotions and medicines. Their usefulness is wide.
A staggering 24,000 species of Australian native plants have been identified with around 800 being native Gum trees (eucalypts).
